Commerical Sponsorship & Advertising
EDICCIMAD! Every Day in Camden County is Military Appreciation Day!
MWR can provide your organization with a unique opportunity to market your company and its product and services to an exclusive military population. Both direct advertising opportunities and event sponsorship provide your organization with a full promotional mix to gain exposure and potential market share. Commercial sponsorship and advertising is an authorized way for Navy MWR activities to offset the cost of programs and services. Sponsorship is received in the form of in-kind services and financial support in exchange for public recognition, advertising consideration and/or product promotion at MWR events. All revenues generated through sponsorship and advertising help improve the quality of life of service members and their families at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
MWR is a National Recreation and Parks Gold Medal Winning Program. The department is also accredited through both the Commission for Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC) Accreditation Program.

Hunting & Fishing
Attention Hunters, Sportsman & Outdoor Enthusiasts
Hunting season will be open from September 19, 2020 through January 9, 2021. Authorized hunting days are Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday afternoons, and Saturday mornings. Each hunting area is marked with a yellow sign containing a Letter and number i.e. (B-1, G-2) indicating bow or gun areas.
Hunting Briefs will be conducted in building 3072 classroom 116 every Wednesday at 1630. All participants are required to wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart. Occupancy will be limited to 16 people to ensure social distancing is maintained. Attendees will have to call the Game Warden at 912-674-6817 and reserve a seat prior to attending the brief on a first-come first-serve basis. Hand sanitizer will be provided for all attendees. Temperature checks will be performed upon arrival and anyone with a temperature above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit will be sent away. Personnel will be required to answer the questions on the CUSFF/NAVNORTH COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire (V2020.07.16). If a question is answered in the affirmative the person will be sent home and told to self quarantine for 14 days.
Hunting onboard SUBASE Kings Bay
Hunting season is between September through January each year. Hunting aboard SUBASE is necessary to control the deer population, thus reducing the number of deer involved in vehicle accidents. SUBASE is an enclosed habitat. Hunting controls the deer population. Hunting prevents exceeding available food sources and promotes a healthy and productive deer herd. The hunting rules and regulations are outlined in detail in the SUBASE Hunting Instruction (SUBASEINST 11015.1U).
Hunting season in no way restricts non-hunters from enjoying the same areas that hunters do. The key is to be aware that you may encounter hunters in the woods. For your own safety, please wear bright colored clothing, and stay on bike-paths and perimeter roads. If you choose to hike in the woods, contact the SUBASE Game Warden. The Game Warden can advise you on what areas are not occupied to ensure a safe and pleasant outing without encroaching on the hunters.
Hunters must have a Georgia state hunting license and big game license. Hunters must purchase a SUBASE hunting permit from MWR Tickets & Travel Office. Hunters must attend an annual rules, regulations, and safety brief prior to hunting or scouting the base. They must have a state approved Hunter Safety Course Certificate from any state if born after January 1961. They must have a SUBASE weapons registration for their hunting weapon/weapons from Stimson pass and I.D. less than three years old.
Fishing onboard SUBASE Kings Bay
SUBASE Fishing permits must be purchased from the MWR Tickets & Travel Office. Fishermen and women must have a Georgia state fishing license.
