Festival of Trees

Get into the holiday spirit with MWR Kings Bay’s Festival of Trees! We’re inviting commands, base organizations, and individuals to showcase their creativity by decorating one of 25 Christmas trees provided by MWR. Choose your theme, deck the branches, and compete for festive bragging rights! Registration is open October 26 through December 4, and decorated trees will be displayed during Cocoa Stroll on December 11 and Kringle Comes to The CRAB on December 12 for the entire community to enjoy. Don't miss this opportunity to spread holiday cheer and show off your decorating skills!

Basic Rules
• 25 trees (provided by MWR) will be included in the Festival of Trees.• Each tree is to be decorated by a command, base organization, or individual. • Decorations must NOT include lights or spray snow (final trees must be unlit).• All decorated trees will be displayed at this year's holiday events, Cocoa Stroll on December 11 & Kringle Comes to the CRAB, on December 12, 2026.
• Contest categories are: Best Macy's Store Window Tree (fancy); Best Departmental/Organizational Representative Tree (example: badges on a Security tree); or Open Category (you choose the theme).• Trees will be judged by a panel on Friday morning, December 11 and winning trees will be marked for the events.
• TREE DECORATING• Decorating will take place December 7-10 from 9am-6pm, at The CRAB. All trees must be complete by 6:00pm on Thursday, December 10. The CRAB will be closed for play, so it is recommended that you leave the kids home when you decorate. If you must bring your kiddos, please keep a close eye on them.
•TREE CLEANUP •All Tree Decorations must be cleaned up NLT December 14-16 from 9-6pm.
