Run for the Fallen 5k

This is a memorial run honoring those who have fallen during Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Inherent Resolve, Operation Freedom's Sentinel, and
Operation New Dawn. Commands can begin logging miles after the opening 5K. Each command will be challenged to run a mile for every fallen service member since 2001.  The commands will have 8 weeks to accumulate at least 6,850 fallen service members/miles. During each 5k, participants will receive a
remembrance race bib with photo/bio of a fallen soldier to honor. Special thank you to Navy Federal and USAA for making the Run for the Fallen 5k a success!*

The opening run is June 13 at 0645 at the Fitness Complex. Time allows for registration, race will begin immediately after. Pre-register now through June 12. First 300 runners will get t-shirts (sizes are not guaranteed).

A concluding Run for the Fallen 5K will be held on Aug. 8. at 0645. We will recognize and provide Honor & Remember flags
for each command that meets the 6,850 miles goal. We will also recognize the individuals (male and female) that log
the most miles with an award/plaque. Family members are encouraged to log miles to support commands.
