Position:   Unaccompanied Housing (UH) Building Manager, NF-1173-03

Salary:    $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, based upon qualifications/experience

Employment Category:   Regular Full-Time, 35-40 hours per week, with benefits.  May require working night, weekend, and holiday hours. 

Location:   Unaccompanied Housing (UH) aboard Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, GA

Relocation Expenses:  Not Authorized

Area of Consideration:   All Sources – Applicant does not have to have current SUBASE access.  If selected for position, access will be granted upon a favorable background check.

Duties:  Performs inspections of common areas and vacant rooms each day, for cleanliness, damage, and maintenance problems.   Performs room inspections to ensure living standards are maintained.  Performs various maintenance related actions associated with their assigned building.  Initiates trouble calls and work requests.  Performs minor maintenance actions, i.e., changing light bulbs, maintenance on fire extinguishers, replace air filters, etc.  Will be responsible for control of the furniture, fixtures and equipment in their assigned buildings.  Maintains grounds cleanliness.  Picks up trash and debris at least daily.   Performs other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications: 

Ø  Working experience in hotel/apartment maintenance procedures. 

Ø  Possess ability to supervise and instruct. 

Ø  Possess basic math and reading skills.

Ø  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. 

Ø  Knowledge of Navy Bachelor Housing management procedures and general business principles and practices.

Ø  Ability to independently resolve a variety of complex guest concerns and complaints. 

Ø  Knowledge of general office procedures. 

Ø  Working knowledge of microcomputers and automated data processing systems.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:   Work requires moderately strenuous physical activity. Moving and lifting/carrying of items up to 40 pounds (over 40 pounds with assistance).  Will be required to do considerable standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling and climbing.  Work is performed indoors and outdoors with occasional exposure to dusty or dirty conditions.
