Does the Fitness Complex have a dress code?

Yes.  Shirts, proper gym attire and shoes are required at all times. Sports bras or exposed undergarments must be covered and no obscene or offensive print or pictures on clothing allowed.

How do I register for Intramural Sports?

Registration can be done through the Fitness Complex or online through imleagues.com/kingsbay. Empty rosters are available at the Customer Service Counter and in the Sports Office within the Fitness Complex, building 1034. 
 

How much does it cost to play?

Intramural Sport leagues are of no cost to all Active Duty personnel. Extramural Sports, Average Joe’s Sports, and special events fees differ depending on the specific program offered.

What does Kings Bay Sports include?

Kings Bay Sports is comprised of Intramural Sports, Extramural Sports, Average Joe’s Sports, and special events or tournaments. Intramural Sports are leagues within the Kings Bay community whereas Extramural Sports are leagues or tournaments open to other bases in the Southeast Region.

Both Intramural Sports and Extramural Sports consist of “major sports:” basketball, flag football, softball, soccer, and volleyball. Average Joe’s Sports are minor sports, such as: wallyball, kickball, innertube water polo, 3v3 basketball, golf, bowling, dodgeball, and tennis.

Special events may include programs such as: fishing tournaments, 5Ks, adventure races, and Tri-Base Tournaments.
 

What equipment will Kings Bay Sports provide?

We will provide all game day equipment, such as: pennies, yard markers, pylons, bats, gloves, basketballs, softballs, goals, etc. However, we do require teams to bring their own football to flag football. Additionally, teams are allowed to use their own equipment during competition (bats, gloves, etc.).

What happens when Intramural games are cancelled?

We will contact all captains as soon as a decision is made due to weather or inclement playing conditions.

When are games held?

Intramural Sports and Average Joe’s Sports are typically held Monday through Thursday from 5 - 9 pm. Extramural Sports and special events are typically held on weekends.

Where are Intramural Sport competitions held?

Outdoor competitions are held at the track and field complex as well as the softball complex. The closest crossroad is USS Daniel Boone Avenue and USS Lewis and Clark (across from McDonald’s, it's also the road which Under The Pines Park is located on). Indoor competitions are held at 1210 USS Daniel Boone Avenue (Fitness Complex).

The address is 1210 USS Daniel Boone Ave. Bldg. 1034, next to Rack-N-Roll Bowling Lanes, across from the NEX and Commissary parking lots.

Who is eligible to play Kings Bay Sports?

Intramural Sports and Average Joe’s Sports are open to all Active Duty, Retirees, Dependents, and DoD Civilians. Contracted personnel are not eligible for Intramural Sports or Average Joe’s Sports.

Extramural Sports and special events are open to anyone with base access so long as someone with a base ID escorts them on base.

Tri-Base tournaments are specifically for Active Duty personnel at Kings Bay, Jacksonville, and Mayport Bases.
