How much does it cost to play?
Intramural Sport leagues are of no cost to all Active Duty personnel. Extramural Sports, Average Joe’s Sports, and special events fees differ depending on the specific program offered.
What does Kings Bay Sports include?
Kings Bay Sports is comprised of Intramural Sports, Extramural Sports, Average Joe’s Sports, and special events or tournaments. Intramural Sports are leagues within the Kings Bay community whereas Extramural Sports are leagues or tournaments open to other bases in the Southeast Region.
Both Intramural Sports and Extramural Sports consist of “major sports:” basketball, flag football, softball, soccer, and volleyball. Average Joe’s Sports are minor sports, such as: wallyball, kickball, innertube water polo, 3v3 basketball, golf, bowling, dodgeball, and tennis.
Special events may include programs such as: fishing tournaments, 5Ks, adventure races, and Tri-Base Tournaments.

Who is eligible to play Kings Bay Sports?
Intramural Sports and Average Joe’s Sports are open to all Active Duty, Retirees, Dependents, and DoD Civilians. Contracted personnel are not eligible for Intramural Sports or Average Joe’s Sports.
Extramural Sports and special events are open to anyone with base access so long as someone with a base ID escorts them on base.
Tri-Base tournaments are specifically for Active Duty personnel at Kings Bay, Jacksonville, and Mayport Bases.
