Rec Aid / Customer Service Representative
Duties: Assists in the day-to-day operations of various Recreation/Customer Service areas within MWR. Must display exceptional customer service skills. May be responsible for a change fund, cash and credit receipts received for rentals, memberships and retail sales. Assists patrons in selection of merchandise and services. Ensures that facilities are neat and clean. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have general knowledge of customer service and good communication skills.
- Must have the ability to deal courteously with the public, both military and civilians.
- Must be able to operate a cash register and have cash-handling experience.
- Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions unsupervised.
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Work requires the ability to move, lift and carry items up to 50 pounds (over 50 pounds with assistance), standing and walking for long periods of time and some bending and stooping. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors. Indoor work will be in areas that have adequate heating, lighting and ventilation. Some facilities will require exposure to outdoors resulting in exposure to various climactic conditions, i.e., heat, cold, rain and humidity.
Basis of Review: Applicants will be evaluated based on experience and qualifications described above and presented in written format.
